Vanessa Hua is a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle and author of Deceit And Other Possibilities, which received the Asian Pacific American Award for Literature and is a finalist for the California Book Award. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Washington Post, and elsewhere. Her novel, A River of Stars, is forthcoming (Ballantine, 2018).
