Author: Naomi Mitchison
Naomi Mitchison (1897–1999) was a Scottish novelist and poet, and sister of the eminent scientist and science writer J.B.S. Haldane. Her best work is thought to be The Corn King and the Spring Queen (1931), which treats three different societies, including a wholly fictional one, and explores themes of sexuality that were daring in her day. It has been described as a "lost classic."
