Maria Swisher is an actor, writer, and theatre-maker. After dropping out of NYU Tisch, she found herself doing Polish physical theatre in London, where she once kneed herself in the face, breaking her own nose. Her original sci-fi play, The Last Eden, was funded by The Arts Council England. Since 2011, she has been one half of the psycho-absurd theatre company, Dirt [contained]. She lives with her cats, Umbra and Ishtar, in Los Angeles.
