Malex is a British-Venezuelan designer, semiotician, and strategist who has been practising and teaching for over 20 years. A pioneer of Applied Design Semiotics, she helps international businesses across a range of sectors optimise their branding and communications. More recently she has worked with disruptive Latin American businesses to conceptualise and develop meaningful brands, products and services that are challenging and shaping the commercial and cultural landscape. She is exploring ways in which Critical and Speculative Design Practices help us to imagine alternative visions and narratives for Latin American Futures. She is the founder of Mundano Studio and a fellow of The School of Critical Design.
