Michael Roberts (1903-1948) was an English poet, writer, scientist, mathematician, critic and broadcaster,who made his living as a teacher of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. He is best remembered as editor of The Faber Book of Modern Verse (1936). He also coauthored a 1934 book on Newton and the Origin of Colours: A Study of One of the Earliest Examples of Scientific Method.
