Juan Recondo holds a Master's in Anglophone Caribbean Literatures from the University of Puerto Rico and a PhD in Latin American and Latinx Theatre and Cinema Studies from the City University of New York's Graduate Center. Juan is passionate about comic books, film, and Latin American literature. He teaches Spanish language and culture at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas.
