Ford Madox Ford (Joseph Leopold Ford Hermann Madox Hueffer, 1873–1939) was an English novelist, poet, critic and editor of the journals The English Review and The Transatlantic Review. He is best known for The Good Soldier (1915), a central text in the creation of twentieth-century modernism. With Joseph Conrad, he wrote the satirical proto-sf novel The Inheritors (1901) .
