Author: Eva Amendola Kühn
Eva Kühn (1880–1961) was a Russian writer, essayist and translator active in Italy. She joined the Futurist movement, writing under the pseudonym Magamal — the name of a warrior character from Marinetti's novel Mafarka the Futurist. She was married to the anti-fascist Italian politician Giovanni Amendola, whom she'd met in the circles of the Theosophical Society; he is credited with having been among the first to name and warn against "totalitarianism." He was killed by fascists.
