Catherine Newman is the author of the memoirs Catastrophic Happiness and Waiting for Birdy, as well as the blog Ben and Birdy. She is also the etiquette columnist for Real Simple magazine and a regular contributor to many other publications. Her first middle-grade novel, One Mixed-Up Night, was published by Random House in 2017. She lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, with her family.
