Alfred Noyes CBE (1880 – 1958) was an English poet, short-story writer and playwright. His 1940 sf novel The Last Man involves a global conflict wipes out almost the entire human race. His 1941 poetry chapbook If Judgement Comes: A Poem is a kind of posthumous fantasy in which Hitler is judged for his misdeeds.
