Digital Comic Museum

I’ve been putting the DCM — which is a new site, and which was brought to my attention earlier this month on Boing Boing — through its paces.
It’s a bit disappointing. Not as informative about the comics in its database as are some others out there — like the Grand Comics Database, say, or the DC Comics Database.
The search function isn’t intuitive or sophisticated. And since the whole point of the site is downloading images, it’s lame that on most pages you can’t actually see what the image is before you hit DOWNLOAD. You’re downloading blind!
Still, making (the covers of) public domain Golden Age Comics free for downloading is a generous thing to do, and the scans are high-quality. Besides, I did find some fun stuff: like the HI-titled lowbrow comics shown here!
