PORTRAIT OF JENNIE | 1948 | WILLIAM DIETERLE
What is time? What is space? What is life? What is rain? Nothing ever dies, but only changes. Time does not pass, but curves around us. A precarious artist is suffering in the New York winter until he meets a ghost, the ghost of his muse. Before her, the sound was muted. After her, the noise exploded. The future lies in the storm that curves you to the past. The past lies in the abyss. The abyss stares at you, it haunts you. Climb! Climb back to the present!
