HERMENAUTICA (9)
By:
February 15, 2023
One in a series of posts featuring pages from Hermenaut, a DIY intellectual zine/journal published by HILOBROW’s Josh Glenn from 1992 through 2000-01.
Back cover of issue #5 — with space for writing mailing address. (At that time, we didn’t use envelopes — we’d staple the issue closed and put the stamps and address on the back cover.)
“Shapely Mind Press” — which was just me — published both Hermenaut and Luvboat Earth. At one point, I announced several other zines, too, but they never happened.
Richard Hamilton’s 1956 collage Just What Is It That Makes Today’s Homes So Different, So Appealing? needs no introduction, nor do I need to explain why we appropriated it.
Pub. Date: 1994
