A collection of photos taken during the past month by HILOBROW’s Josh Glenn. Also see the SCREENSHOTS series; and see HILOBROW’s Instagram feed. Josh’s street-photography practice draws inspiration from Rob Walker’s THE ART OF NOTICING project.
Ever since her stroke, my mother mostly only says the phrase, “yes, yes yes.” Lately, she and I have been collaborating on some yes-themed artworks.
Tito and I enjoying the backyard hammock.
John and Moira Cradock, two of my oldest friends (we were neighbors, attended the same church and schools, etc.), were in Jamaica Plain for a visit this month…
HILOBROW friend James Parker read from his new book, Get Me Through the Next Five Minutes: Odes to Being Alive, at Brookline Booksmith. (Another HILOBROW friend, Carlo Rotella, served as his interlocutor.) Here’s a scene from the after party, with HILOBROW friends Kristin Parker and Sabine Hrechdakian.
In late June, Susan and I relocated (for a significant part of the summer, we hope) to Kingston, NY.
I’m pitching a semio analysis for a forthcoming “voxel” (one might say cubitectonic) videogame, and now I see cubiform imagery everywhere.
Found abstract art, Kingston NY.
Nice photo of Sam and Kayla in Ovando, MT — sent to me by Max.
