A collection of photos taken during the past month by HILOBROW’s Josh Glenn. Also see the SCREENSHOTS series; and see HILOBROW’s Instagram feed. Josh’s street-photography practice draws inspiration from Rob Walker’s THE ART OF NOTICING project.
Scene from the nearby pond where I do some swimming every summer.
Luna moths are rarely spotted due to their brief adult lives and nocturnal flying time. This one landed on my office building… I think it must have been injured, poor thing.
Susan and I took the ferry to Peddocks (as Peddocks Island is known, hereabouts) in Boston Harbor, to spend the day swimming and attempting to make campfire coffee with our friends James (shown here) and Kristin.
On July 14th, I presented my semiotic analysis of Caddyshack at this month’s online Semiofest Session — a session dedicated to the topic of Reading Culture: New Methods. It was fun! However, because I was attending the Readercon science fiction / fantasy conference that same day, I had to present from the patio of a hotel in Quincy, Mass. It worked out fine.
Always fun to see Radium Age titles out there in the world. This was at Newtonville Books in Newton, Mass.
