Drops of paint fall onto the filmstrip like raindrops fall onto a glass ceiling. This rain is not a recording of rain, of something that once was there, or happened there. The frames are paint-stained, rain-cleansed. Drops create patterns and textures, splashes that give shape and movement to a film. Rain evaporates, paint solidifies. All drops are different, but the same. They embrace in puddles, like two lovers meeting again or an orgy of shapeless bodies.
