THE CHALLENGE: Write a very short pulp-hero blurb [i.e., like the one shown on this page] for a well-known non-pulp work of fiction or film. Here’s an example: “One autumn night, Jay Gatz beheld a ladder above the trees that revealed to him the secret of all desire. Thus was born The Great Gatsby!” etc.
