Estrella Cercana

Our friend Daniel Hernandez is editing Estrella Cercana, a mostly Spanish-language weekly experimental newspaper “built around Distant Star, the show currently up at the contemporary art gallery Kurimanzutto, in the San Miguel de Chapultepec neighborhood of Mexico City/ The show is inspired by the literature of Roberto Bolaño.”
The first issue of Estrella Cercana dropped on September 24; the project will continue through November 5. More info: “Es un semanario literario con fin de vida, de seis números, abarcando la duración de la expo. Se solicitan reportajes, crónicas, foto, foto-ensayo, comics, mapas, o periodismo gráfico, basados en datos y hechos, la curiosidad, y en el espíritu de la investigación literaria.”
