Erle Stanley Gardner’s The D.A. Draws A Circle (1940 edition). Interesting counterpoint to novels featuring an “X” in the title. There, we know exactly where to look, but we’re not sure what we’ll find once we battle our way to that point; here, we know exactly what we’re looking for, but we’re not sure where to look.
